Amber McConnell

Since I can remember I’ve always been fascinated by all things artistic. After trying out singing, acting, modeling, and photography I found that I was at my best behind the camera.

My career in music photography got started because I had several friends who were in bands that asked me to photograph them.

I worked for http://www.backbeatzine.com/ magazine in San Antonio, Texas for over a year as a staff/lead photographer. There I shot live music events and editorial coverage for a wide array of people associated with the music scene in San Antonio. I also worked for Gibson guitars as a freelance photographer for almost 2 years,  covering events and product releases.

Outside of my work for the magazine, I’ve had the privilege of shooting live shows for hundreds of amazing bands including  311, Trapt, As Tall As Lions, Candlebox, The Toadies, Chris Cornell, Girl in a Coma and many more.
